The state wide girls track sectionals were held Tuesday, with Manchester and Northfield running at Rochester, while Wabash and Southwood were at Marion.
The county had two sectional champions, both from Manchester. Bekah Brunn won the 100 hurdles in a time of 16.41, while Lindsey Dierks won the high jump, going 5′ 2”.
To advance to the regional you must finish in the top 4 of your event.
At Rochester :
Other county individuals qualifying for regional were Kelsi Custer of Manchester in the 800 placing 2nd, Karla Singer of Northfield in the 1600 finishing 3rd, Jenna Halderman of Northfield in the 3200 placing 2nd, Elena Schnieders of Manchester in the 300 hurdles placing 2nd, The Manchester 4×100 relay team of Tresa Bruce, Bekah Brunn, Lindsey Budnik, Maddie Burton finishing 2nd, The Manchester 4×400 relay team of Emma Altimus, Bekah Brunn, Lindsey Budnik, Kelsi Custer finishing 3rd, The Northfield 4×800 relay team of Paige Cole, Brittany Sloan, Jenna Halderman, Holly Dyson, Cassidy Miller placing 3rd, Niki Frieden of Manchester in the shot put finishing 4th.
At Marion :
Emily Lehner of Southwood finished 3rd in the 800 and Kyleigh Hampton of Wabash was 3rd in the high jump. Danielle Perlich of Southwood 4th in the 400, Jaycie Wright of Southwood 3rd in 300 hurdles, The 4×400 relay team from Southwood of Sami White, Emily Lehner, Jaycie Wright, Lexi Brickner finished 4th.
