The Northfield baseball team won the TRC outright Thursday after continuing a suspended game with North Miami. When played resumed from May 8th, Northfield was leading 8-6 and North Miami had bases loaded in the top of the sixth with two out.
When the original game was played on May 8th, each team had one conference loss with the winner taking sole possession of first place. However, the Southwood Knights changed that situation Wednesday by defeating North Miami and giving Northfield a share of the title no matter what happened against North Miami.
When the game resumed, Ryan Keaffaber struck out the Warrior hitter to get out of the inning. In the 7th Keaffaber struck out two more in the seventh to give Northfield the outright title.
The Norse finished the TRC with a 6-1 record and are 22-3 overall.
