Lady Squires Swept By Wawasee

The Manchester varsity volleyball team fell to Wawasee Tuesday, 15-25, 13-25, 21-25.  Leah Sorg played the outside well with 5 kills and only 1 error.  Corrie Osborne had the same, 5 kills and only 1 error. Cierra Carter helped out with 6 kills, Kendra Binkley with 2, Madison Isbell with 1, Rae Bedke with 1, and Kiana Gillum with 1. Rae Bedke handed out 11 of those assists.  Osborne had a solo block and 2 block assists. Isbel and Carter rounded out the other block assists each with 1.  In the back row, Marret Metzger helped with 15 digs, Kaitlyn Parrett had 6, Cali Spann had 5 as did Cierra Carter, Ellie Milam had 4 digs, and Bedke with 3. Aces for the evening were from Bedke and Spann with one each.

The JV started off strong but couldn’t hold on to the last two of their games ending with 25-17, 24-25, and 4-15.  Leiah Brandenburg and Hallie Sorg led their team with three kills a piece followed by Karly Eichenauer and Lindsay Walters each with 2.  Rachel Cave though led the team in hitting efficiency with a .33. Ali Casper tried to help with 9 assists and libero Celina Carter added in her 10 digs.  Brandenburg also had 5 digs. The one solo block was given to the Squires by Jordan Michel.  Hallie Sorg tore up the serving line with 6 aces out of her 16 total serves. Casper had 3 aces and Brandenburg had 1.
