Manchester JH Volleyball Takes Peru

The Manchester Junior High 7th grade volleyball team opened their season with a 25-7, 25-10 win over Peru Tuesday evening.  The team was led by Kennidy Lauer and Emma West with 5 aces and 1 kill each, followed by Kasi Casper and Kelsey Eichenauer with 4 aces a piece.  Anna Osborne added 2 aces and 2 kills, Halie Wampler had 1 ace and 4 assists, and Greta Auler had 2 aces.  The team is 1-0 on the season and plays next on Thursday, 9/5 at home versus Indian Springs Eagles.

The 8th grade topped Peru 25-8, 25-13

Aces:
Kendra Auler – 5, Erika Kendall – 5, Maddie Sort – 3, Mattie McKee – 2, Sydney Day, Lindsay Egner, Alicia Fields, and Kennedy Rosen each had 1.
Kills:
Lindsay Egner – 2, Sydney Day and Mattie McKee each had 1.
Kendra Auler had 3 assists.
Tonight was a great start to our season. We served and passed fairly well considering the girls had a few “first game of the season” jitters. Our next match is Thursday, September 5th vs Indian Springs at Manchester Junior High (4:45 start time).
