The Northfield and Wabash cross country teams traveled to Warsaw to participate in the very competitive Tiger Classic Tuesday.
In the girls race, Northfield finished 3rd with Wabash placing 9th. Northfield’s Jenna Halderman was the individual champion in a course record 18:52.
Brittany Sloan ran an impressive 20:18 to place 5th, Karla Singer was 8th in 20:28. Freshman Olivia Thompson and Catherine Tracy rounded out the scoring.
Carli Henderson led the Wabash pack with a time of 25:21, placing 74th. Also running for Wabash were: Chelsea Archer 25:24 76th, Hailey Nance 27:45 92nd, Alexis Rose 28:00 93rd, Brie Culver 28:42 97th, Chloe Mullett 31:29 109th.
In the boys race, Northfield finished in 4th, while Wabash was 8th.
Devin Tracy paced the Norse, placing 7th in 16:52. Joe Burcroff was 12th in 17:23, Austin Andrews 20th in 17:45, Austin Frye 35th in 18:17, and Caleb Coe 67th in 19:41.
Sam Hall led the Apaches, running a season best time of 17:47 for 22nd place. Northfield runs in the Manchester Invite Saturday, while Wabash is at the Marion Invite.
