The Manchester volleyball team played Whitko for the second time this season, this time taking the Wildcats five games before falling 25-15, 17-25, 22-25, 25-18, 10-15.
The Squires served a total of 16 aces, 9 of which were by Sydney Snep. Snep also led the team with 10 kills. Cierra Carter had 7 kills, Madison Isbell had 6, both Kendra Binkley and Corrie Osborne had 5, and Rae Bedke ended with 4 kills. Snep had a solo block while Bedke and Isbell each had a block assist. Osborne ended with 2 block assists. Metzger led the back row with 11 digs. Setter Rae Bedke had 27 assists and Osborn snagged one assist as well.
The junior varsity also went the distance, defeating Whitko 20-25, 25-14, 15-11.
Hallie Sorg led with 5 kills. Karly Eichenauer followed with 3, Jordan Michel and Leiah Brandenburg had 2, and both Ali Casper and Celina Carter had 1. There were several aces for the evening. Alyssa Spann had 2, with Allison Smith, Celina Carter and Hallie Sorg each serving 1. Libero Celina Carter had 13 digs against Whitko’s attacks. Brandenburg got up 9 digs, Casper had 6, Alyssa Spann had 5, Eichenauer had 4, and Lindsay Walters had 2. Brandenburg had a solo block as well. Setter Ali Casper ended the night with 10 assists and Hallie Sorg managed 1 assist.
