The Northfield football team was riding high after a win over North Miami last Friday, only to struggle at Rochester Friday and falling to the Zebras 38-3.
Rochester did all the scoring the first 47 minutes of the game. The Zebras scored on two running plays in the first quarter to lead 14-0.
The Norse defense would hold the Zebras scoreless in the second quarter, with the offense sputtering and still trailed 14-0 at the half.
Midway through the third quarter Rochester scored on a 1yd run, then ran another in three minutes later to go up 26-0 with a quarter to go.
Rochester built the lead to 38-0 when the Norse got rid of the goose egg with Rodriguez field goal with 1:10 remaining for the final score.
The Norse gained 168yds on the ground, led by Jackson Beery with 43. Alec Wells had 34, Josh Bickel 37, Shane Vigar 24, Drake Richter 21, Jensen Frieden 8 and Carter Frieden 1.
Josh Bickel and Marcus Kroh each had 7yds receiving.
Carter Frieden connected on 2 passes for 14yds.
