The Wabash and Northfield junior high volleyball teams split a pair of matches Wednesday night. Wabash won the 7th grade contest 25-16, 25-16, while Northfield won the 8th grade 18-25, 25-23, 15-13.
Sam Irgang led the Lady Apache 7th Grade Team with (13) Service Points, including (9) Aces, (3) Kills, a Block, a Dig, and a Service Reception. Brooke Irgang had (8) Service Points, including (5) Aces, (5) Assists, and a Kill. Abby Vinopal had (8) Service Points, including (4) Aces, (3) Digs, (3) Service Receptions, including (2) Target Passes, (2) Blocks, and a Kill. Tabby Wagner had (3) Service points, (3) Digs, (2) Service Receptions, a Kill, and an Assist. Kailynn Richardson had an Ace, a Dig, and (3) Service Receptions. Kayley Graf had a Service Point, and a Target Pass. Kiley Stone had a Service Point and Brenna Hipsher had a Service Reception.
For the Northfield 7th grade, the leading server for the night was Trinity Johnson with 5 service points. Kelcie Tomson had 4 service points and Libby Haupert had 3 service points.
The 8th Grade Lady Apache Volleyball team is now 4-2. Kenda Mullen led her team with (5) Service Points, including an Ace, and (7) Digs. Alexis Hartley had (2) Service points with (2) Aces, (2) Kills, and (4) Digs. Paige Beeks had (2) Kills and a Block. Kaitlyn Hashbarger had (4) Digs, Tristan Vigar had (2) Kills, and Angela Levine had a Block.
Kiana Kendall, Katy Pefley, Ava Smith and Kenzie Thornsbury all had three serving aces for the evening, with Emily Howenstine adding 9 good serves. Kiana Kendall added 11 kills, with 4 kills each coming from Braelyn Deeter, Smith, and Thornsbury. Hailey Gordon contributed good passes and digs for the Northfield 8th grade.
