Apaches Win JH Battles Over Norse

The Wabash 8th grade put a win over Northfield Tuesday night 36-16.

Austin Vinopal (170 yards rushing) and Trevor Pelphrey (over 80 yards) both rushed for multiple TDs.
Kory Fuller also had a good night connecting with Austin Spangle for a 35 yard reception and running the ball for 50 yards.
Defensively the Apaches played aggressive football with a Pelphrey sack and fumble recovery and a Vinopal Interception.
The 8th grade Apaches are now 5-0-1 and are 1-0 in the county.
Wabash will host Manchester Tuesday with 7th Grade kicking-off at 5:30 and 8th following after.
For Northfield Jared Vigar threw a TD pass to Macauley Miller and Kyle Reed ran in the 2pt conversion to make the score 8-8.  In the third quarter John Schuler ran the KO back for a TD with Reed getting another 2pt conversion to tie the score at 16.  The offensive line did a great job blocking and the backs ran hard.  On defense Jeremy Okuly recovered a fumble and there were some really good hits from Reed, Schuler, Vigar, Coe, Miller and Dalton Bowland.
Wabash won the 7th grade game 6-0.
For Northfield Chance Hartman and Nate Drancik recovered fumbles, and Cole Rosen recovered a fumble.  The offense was led by Curtis Vigar.
