Manchester’s 7th grade volleyball team moved to 2-0 on the season with a win Thursday, 9/4, at Indian Springs Middle School. The Squires won in 3 games by the score of 17-25, 25-19, 15-7. Ranissa Shambarger served 10 points with 3 aces and added 1 kill. Lydia Greer served 9 points with 2 aces and also had 1 kill. Andrea Kahn had 8 points, 1 kill and 1 dig. Mackenzie Day served 7 points with 4 aces and had 2 assists. Samantha Kissell had 1 point and 2 assists. Kyrsten Eakright added 2 kills. The 8th grade volleyball team lost a close match to Indian Springs Eagles, 20-25, 25-15, 12-15 on Thursday, September 4th. Halie Wampler lead the way for the Lady Squires with 12 service points with 4 aces, 6 kills and 6 assists. Emma West had 6 service points with 3 aces and 5 digs. Kelsey Eichenauer had 4 service points with 3 aces while Morgan Stroud added 4 service points with 2 aces. Anna Osborne had 3 service points with 1 ace, 5 kills, 3 assists and 1 dig. Kasi Casper had 2 service points with 1 ace, 3 kills and 2 assists. Stroud also contributed 1 dig. “This was a tough loss because the girls did so many things well. The teamwork and unselfish court play was fun to watch!” Coach Gnagy
