Manchester JH Sweeps Whitko

Manchester’s 7th grade volleyball team remained undefeated with a win at Whitko Wednesday, September 10.  The Lady Squires won 25-11, 25-15 to improve to 3-0 on the season.  The team was led by Sarah Pegg who had 13 points with 6 aces.  Lydia Greer added 6 points, 3 aces & 3 kills; Ranissa Shambarer had 5 points, 2 aces & 1 dig; Mackenzie Day had 3 points all on aces & 1 dig; Andrea Kahn had 3 points on 2 aces; and Samantha Kissell & Rebekah Pyle each had 1 ace service point.
Manchester won the B match 25-5.  Kyrsten Eakright had 8 points (6 aces), Ranissa Shambarger added 7 points (1 ace), Kaitlin Easterday had 3 points (2 aces), and Rebekah Pyle added 2 aces.

The Manchester 8th grade volleyball team defeated Whitko at Whitko Middle School on Wednesday, September 10th. The scores for the A match were 25-23, 25-8. Leading the way for the Lady Squires were: Kasi Capser with 18 service points with 12 aces, 4 kills, 1 assist and 1 dig; Kelsey Eichenauer with 9 service points including 3 aces and 1 kill; Emma West with 7 service points with 5 aces, 1 kill, and 6 digs; Anna Osborne tallied 6 kills, 4 assists and 1 dig; Kennidy Lauer had 4 kills and 2 digs and Halie Wampler had 3 kills and 8 assists.

Manchester won the B match 25-20. Greta Auler had 3 aces; Kelsey Eichenauer and Halie Wampler had 2 aces;  Anna Osborne and Morgan Stroud had 1 ace. Kennidy Lauer had Halie Wampler both had 1 kill. Stoud, Auler and Kiann Allen contributed solid defensive play.

The Lady Squires are back in action on September 23rd at Edgewood.
