Manchester Volleyball Falls In Five

The Manchester volleyball team fell in game one before coming back to win the next two, but couldn’t hold on in a 10-25, 25-17, 25-18, 13-25, 9-15 loss to Whitko.

Rae Bedke led with 4 aces, Kaitlyn Parrett and Ellie Milam had 2, Corrie Osborne, Leah Sorg, Kendra Binkley, and Cierra Carter all had 1 ace.  Carter led with 13 kills, Binkley with 11, Osborne with 5, Milam, Parrett, Bedke, Sorg, and Isbell all had 1. Parrett led digs with 14, Milam, Bedke, and libero Metzger tied at 11, Casper had 7, Carter saved 3,  Sorg, Isbell, and Osborne rounded out with 2 each.  Bedke dished out 20 assists out of her 56 setting attempts.

In the JV match up, Manchester lost in three, taking the middle match 18-25, 25-17, 7-15.

Aces were tied with Alyssa Spann and Karly Eichenauer with 5 aces a piece. Kennedy Rosen, Paige Wagoner, and Leiah Brandenburg all added a single ace.  Eichenauer led in the backrow with 10 digs, Brandenburg followed with 7, Spann managed 5, Emma Casper grabbed 3, Mattie McKee had 2, and Sydney Day rounded out the digs with 1.  Assists were tied between setters with 2 for each Kendra Auler and Wagoner.  The kills were led by McKee and Brandenburg each with 2, the following all had 1 kills: Day, Eichenauer, and Spann.
