Knight Cross Country Runs Well

The Southwood boys and girls cross country teams competed at Mississinewa High School last night in a 4 way meet between Madison-Grant, Mississinewa, and Wabash. A heavily wooded and challenging course, both teams worked hard and ran well.

The girls team swept in points with a perfect score to win the meet. Individually, Haley Heath, Emily Lehner, and Ellie White all finished together for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Following these girls were Taylor Heath in 4th, Kassidy Atwood 5th, Brooke Elliott 7th, Emma Peebles 19th, and Emmy Titus 20th. Spring Applegate also ran in the varsity race as an 8th runner.

The boys team finished second, only two points behind Wabash. Leading the way was Aaron Ross in 4th, followed by Michael Lengel 6th, Josiah Friedersdorf 7th, Jonathan Collins 9th, Justin Lawson 10th, and Chase Guenin 15th. Lucas Topliff did not run last night.

Saturday, the teams travel to Tipton for the Tipton Invitational.
