The Wabash Middle School hosted their cross country invite Saturday at City Park. We don’t have the results as of yet, but will add them as the coaches turn them in.
The Wabash girls team lead by Whitney Working’s 7th place finish took 8th out of 17 teams. Other place winners include Claire Hipskind, and Rebecca Bruss
Braden Sweet had an exceptional individual performance for Southwood as he finished 12th in a field of 115 runners. Braden led the team by setting a new PR of 11:41. Running 2nd for the boys’ team was Luke Winer, who also exhibited an excellent performance setting a new PR of 11:43. Alex Farr ran a very solid race placing 21st with a time of 11:52. Alex was followed by Devin Dunn who finished 34th and Alix Winer who placed 57th. Also competing for the Knights were Landon Topliff and Jayden Timmons placing 70th and 87th. Jayden set a new PR of 14:22.
Once again, Morgan Farr had a spectacular individual performance. Coming from behind, Morgan outraced a challenging group of competitors, taking 1st in a field of 113 runners. She covered the hilly, 3000 meter course in a time of 11:55. Makayla Bechtold ran 2nd for the team finishing 69th with her second best time of the season, 14:51. Annie Ridgeway set a new PR of 15:07, placing 79th. Also running her 2nd best time of the season was Jeana Friedersdorf, finishing 81st in a time of 15:11. Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Knights was Monica Coffelt setting a new PR of 15:24 and placing 88th. Lexi Finney finished 107th. The girls’ team finished 11th out of 17 teams.
