It was senior night for the Manchester boys soccer team Wednesday and the Squires did the two things they do best, score and hold the opponent from scoring in a 3-0 shut out win over North Miami.
Colin McNeeley would get the lone first half goal with 15:26 on the clock. With the goal Colin tied his brother Keegan for the most goals in a season with 24. Colin is just 7 goals away from the career record that is also owned by his brother.
In the second half Braydon Sewell would force his way to the goal at the 32:51 mark to take a 2-0 lead. Sewell’s goal was assisted by McNeeley. One minute later the Squires found the net again, only to have the goal negated for off sides. With 15:12 remaining Eliesel Guerrero would bounce a corner kick off his back for a score as the Squires went on to win 3-0.
The shut out was the 20th in his career for goal tender Rainer Borgamann, who keeps adding to his own school record.
Manchester coach Dave McKee was awarded a soccer ball at halftime for getting his 100th win earlier in the season.
