Squire Soccer Wins On Senior Night

It was senior night for the Manchester boys soccer team Wednesday and the Squires did the two things they do best, score and hold the opponent from scoring in a 3-0 shut out win over North Miami.

Colin McNeeley would get the lone first half goal with 15:26 on the clock. With the goal Colin tied his brother Keegan for the most goals in a season with 24. Colin is just 7 goals away from the career record that is also owned by his brother.

In the second half Braydon Sewell would force his way to the goal at the 32:51 mark to take a 2-0 lead. Sewell’s goal was assisted by McNeeley. One minute later the Squires found the net again, only to have the goal negated for off sides. With 15:12 remaining¬†Eliesel Guerrero would bounce a corner kick off his back for a score as the Squires went on to win 3-0.

The shut out was the 20th in his career for goal tender Rainer Borgamann, who keeps adding to his own school record.

Manchester coach Dave McKee was awarded a soccer ball at halftime for getting his 100th win earlier in the season.
