The Metro Rage Soccer Club travelled to Swayzee to play the Oak Hill JV Boys team.
Heath Miller drew first blood with a “break away” goal at the 18 minute mark. Miller would score again before halftime on an assist from Adam Denney. Miller received a cross from Denney just above the six yard box and calmly buried the ball in the back of the net.
Due to a late start after the varsity game and a lack of daylight, the game was halted in the second half with a final score of 2-0.
Tanner Proffitt recorded two saves in goal on the night to earn another shut out in goal.
Rage Coach Greg Hobson commented that he was pleased with the defensive effort. “I thought that Tadd Meyer played exceptionally well at outside back tonight. He stepped up at the right times and played several balls back into the midfield. This group of players have improved all year and it has been fun to be a part of all of this”
The Rage close their season at the King’s Academy tournament at Ballard Field on Saturday, October 11th. The Rage will play their games at 1:00pm and 3:30pm.
