At the Culver Regional site, Squire tennis continued as the #1 doubles team of Noah Cain and Branden Scott faced a Wawasee opponent that they played to open the season in August. The results were the same as 8 weeks ago with Manchester controlling the entire match to advance to face a strong Plymouth team on Friday at 5pm. The match opened with each team holding serves for a rotation. At 2-2, Cain and Scott focused their skills and ran off 4 straight games. Coach Eichenauer “After a few nerves and errors, Noah and Branden eliminated both and became more aggressive at the net. We really took advantage of their second serves and gained control of the net.” In the second set Manchester continued their dominance with a 3-0 start. After a Wawasee win on Hutchinson’s serve, Manchester closed out the set with great play. Scott served several precise points and went up 4-1. Next, Manchester broke the Wawasee serve for a 5-1 lead, followed by Noah Cain powering serves in to win the match. “The whole Manchester tennis family is excited for their success, and the guys really supported them all week.” Cain and Scott move to 17-1 on the season. The Manchester duo faces a strong Plymouth doubles team on Friday, 5pm, at Culver Military Academy.
