Manchester JH Splits With Valley

The Manchester 7th grade volleyball team fell in a tough match to Tippecanoe Valley Wednesday evening by a score of 25-16, 18-25, 14-15.  The team was led by Mackenzie Day who had 9 service points on 1 ace, 1 assist & 9 digs.  Andrea Kahn added 8 service points on 3 aces and recorded 2 kills.  Sarah Pegg also had 8 service points, 2 aces and 2 digs.  Lydia Greer had 4 service points on 2 aces & 2 kills.  Rebekah Pyle had 3 points on 1 ace, and Ranissa Shambarger had 1 ace & 3 digs.  Kyrsten Eakright and Samantha Kissell led the offensive effort for the Lady Squires with Eakright recording 6 kills and Kissell contributing 6 assist & 1 kill.  The Lady Squires finish the regular season 6-5-2 and will compete in the RRC Tournament Saturday, October 18th.
The Lady Squires lost the B game by a score of 23-25.  Samantha Kissell led the scoring effort with 5 service points on 1 ace.  Addie Haecker added 1 service point and had 1 dig.  Tayler Ayres had 2 digs, Kaitlin Easterday had 1 dig, and Kyrsten Eakright had 1 kill.

The 8th grade volleyball team finished regular season play with a win over visiting Tippecanoe Valley 25-18, 25-24.

Leading the way for the Lady Squires was Halie Wampler with 12 service points with 6 aces. Wampler also contributed 3 assists and 3 digs. Anna Osborne had 4 service points with 2 aces, 3 kills, 1 assist, and 2 digs. Kasi Casper had 4 service points with 2 aces, 2 kills, and 1 dig. Morgan Stroud had 4 service points and 1 dig. Emma West tallied 3 service points with 1 ace and lead the defensive effort with 9 digs. Kelsey Eichenauer added 1 service point and 2 digs.

Manchester also won the B game 25-10. Greta Auler and Kelsey Eichenauer lead all servers with 4 service points. Eichenauer also added 1 kill and 2 digs. Kennidy Lauer had 3 service points and 1 assist. Kasi Casper had 3 service points with 1 ace and 1 kill. Halie Wampler added 2 service points with 2 aces and 1 kill. Morgan Stroud had 1 ace.

The 8th grade record now stands at 6-5-3.

The Lady Squires will compete in the RRC Tournament on Saturday, October 18th.
