The Wabash and Southwood junior high football teams split a pair of games Tuesday with Wabash winning the 7th grade game 19-0 and Southwood taking the 8th grade game 20-0.
For the Southwood 7th grade Dillion Filip and Elijah Sutton had five tackles each to lead the squad. Kyler Chapman (4 tackles) combined with Cason and Conner Rich (3 tackles each) to strengthen the effort. On offense the knights had good efforts from Kyler Chapman with 54 yards rushing, Logan Barley 51 yards rushing and Eric Carter catching a 23 yard pass from Barley.
For the Knights 8th grade Zach Miller had touchdown passes to Peyton Ensor (7 yds) and Quentin Perry (16 yds). Cameron Ball had another good outing rolling up 127 yards rushing and a touchdown. Coedy Slone added a two point conversion after the third score. On defense Luke Kirk and Colby Crow had 6 tackles a piece, and Carson Heath grabbed an interception.
