Lady Squires Topped At Maconaqauh

The Manchester girls basketball team went on the road to Maconaqauh Tuesday, falling to the Braves 54-44.

The Lady Squires got off to a slow start, scoring just 4 points in the first quarter to trail by 10 at 14-4, before bouncing back with a 12 point second quarter, but trailed 27-16 at the half.

Manchester cut the Braves lead to single digits by the end of the third quarter at 40-32 but couldn’t get ant closer.

Leading the way for Manchester was Cierra Carter with 13 points. Drew Thompson added 12, Celina Carter 11, Brooklyn Howard 4, Rae Bedke 4.

The junior varsity held on to defeat Maconaquah 35-29.

Sydney Day led with 15 points. Bethany Collett and Elizabeth Anguilm added 8 points each.
