Wabash JH Basketball Splits

Wabash 8th grade boys basketball split two games at Caston Early Bird tournament. They lost first game to Tayler 35-27. Blake Gribben led the Apaches with 11 points in the loss. Devin Higdon knocked in 7. They were able to bounce back and beat Caston 41-19 in the consultation game. Leading scorers in the second game were Jackson Nance with 14, Blake Gribben with 12, and Robert Irgang with 9. Team is now 1-2 on the season.

The 7th grade Apaches were able to capture the tournament championship! The Apaches were able to overcome a 5 point fourth quarter deficit and defeat Taylor 31-25 in the first game. The team was led by Trenton Daughtry and James Booth, each with 12 points. Wabash defeated the Home Caston team 37-15 in the Championship game. James Booth was only Apache to score in double figures with 10. Trenton Daughtry was next with 8 points. With the wins the 7th graders improve to 3-0. Both 7/8 grade teams will host Northfield on Monday evening.
