The Wabash boys junior high basketball teams took a pair of games from Northfield Monday. The Wabash 7th grade won 36-16, while the 8th grade defeated the Norse 42-39.
The Apache 7th grade offense was spread out, as nine different players were able to score. The leading scorer for the Apaches was Trenton Daughtry with 13.
Grayden Craig led the Norse in scoring with 10, while Braden Ripplinger added 4, and Liam Johnson chipped in 2
Devin Higdon led the Apaches 8th grade with 15 points; scoring 9 of his 15 in the fourth quarter including 2 free throws with just seconds left to extend the lead to three. Other top scorers for Wabash were Blake Gribben with 12, Robert Irgang with 8, and Jackson Nance with 7.
Jared Peas led the Norse with 11 points. Other scores were Chance Hartman with 10, and Nate Drancik and Cole Rosen with 9 pts each.
