Lady Knights Knock Off Oak Hill

The Southwood Lady Nights welcomed the seventh ranked Lady Eagles of Oak Hill to Southwood on Tuesday night as the two teams played in front of a raucous crowd. Led by a hard-nosed defensive effort, the Lady Knights beat the Lady Eagles 46 to 41.

Offensively, Brooke Elliott, although foul plagued throughout the game, led the team in scoring with 15 points and added two steals. Katie Stouffer chipped in with 11 points and four rebounds, while adding five blocked shots, two steals and 7 pass deflections. Haley Heath added 9 points, 8 rebounds , 5 assists and 7 pass deflections. Taylor Heath came off the bench to add 9 points, 3 steals and 4 pass deflections. Kassidy Atwood scored 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.

Makenna Dawes, Ashley Parson, Aleesha Phillips, Abby Houlihan and Makayla Ridgeway all provided positive minutes off the bench to lead the Lady Knights to victory. The Lady Knights improved their record to 2-3 and will return to hardwood action on Monday, December 1 with a road game versus Madison-Grant.

The Lady Knight’s JV Basketball team fell to Oak Hill Tuesday night. The Lady Knights were once again lead offensively by Ashley Parson with 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 steal. Makenna Dawes added 8 points, and 5 rebounds. Kyrstin Gouveia had 2 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 blocked shot. Ellie White got 14 rebounds on the night.
