Apaches Fall In Home Opener

The Wabash boys basketball team opened their 2014-15 season at home Wednesday, hosting Oak Hill. After leading 19-15 after the first stop, a second quarter let down cost the Apaches as they fell 58-46.

Wabash led 19-15 after the first quarter, but a 4 point second quarter cost Wabash the lead as they trailed 28-23 at the half. The Apaches were limited to one bucket in the quarter that was a three pointer at the buzzer.

The offense bounced back a little in the third, but Wabash was still out scored 13-11 and trailed 41-34 with a quarter to go. Oak Hill would out score Wabash 17-12 in the fourth for the 58-46 final.

Leading Wabash was Christian Hall with 18 points. Taylor Vigar added 10, Cody King 9, Chase Dirig 6, Juwan Carter 3.

Oak Hill won the junior varsity game 50-26

Leading Wabash was Luke Mattern with 12 points. Kaleb Kelshiemer added 5, Justin Beauchamp 4, Eryk Weber 3, Austin Vinopal 2.
