Wabash JH Sweeps Southern Wells

Wabash 7th and 8th grade boys basketball take both games at home against Southern Wells. The 8th grade team was able to battle back and overcome a 12 point deficit in the fourth quarter to win 36-33. After a strong defensive effort by the Apaches, Austin Black hit a late three point field goal to tie the game at 31. Jackson Nance then put the Apaches ahead at 33 with a layup. After Southern Wells tied the game at 33, Devin Higdon hit the go ahead jumper to put Wabash on top for good. Leading scorers for Wabash were Jackson Nance with 10, Blake Gibbon with 7, and Devin Higdon and Austin Black each with 6.

The 7th grade Apaches jumped on top early and held on for a 40-26 win. They were led by Trenton Daughtry with 14 points. Dereck Vogel, Jared Holley, and Rob Ford each had 6.

Wabash 7/8 grade next game is Monday at home against RJ Basket.
