It was an up hill battle for the Manchester boys basketball team Saturday as they hosted Leo, falling to the Lions 87-58.
The Squires held their own in the first quarter, trailing just 15-11 after the first stop. Chainey Zolman had two buckets for the Squires with David McAtee, Koehl Fluke and Keelan Norwood getting buckets.
The Leo offense would absolutely exploded the remainder of the game, scoring 24 points in each of the remaining three quarters.
Chainey Zolman would score 7 points in the second quarter with David McAtee scorching the nets in the third with four three pointers.
Leading Manchester was Chainey Zolman with 23 points. David McAtee added 21, Koehl Fluke 6, Heath Dierks 4, Keelan Norwood 4, Braydon Sewell 3, Cameron Brandenburg 2.
Manchester won the junior varsity contest 53-46.
Leading the Squires was Bailey Ness with 17 points. Kane Gable added 11, Adam Byers 7, Levi Hicks 6, Braxtin Wilson 5, Jake Schannep 4, Heath Dierks 3.
