Coming off their county championship the Wabash Lady Apache basketball team is starting to gel. After a 29 point win over Southwood Saturday the Lady Apaches had the task of hosting the 12-1 Eastbrook Panthers Tuesday. Behind a 30 point performance from Claire Cromer and a stifling defense Wabash held Eastbrook to just 39 points in a 45-39 win to move to 12-3 for the season. Eastbrook averaged 55 points per game coming in to Wabash.
Wabash led 9-6 after the first quarter and increased their lead in the second, winning the quarter 15-10 to lead 24-16 at the half. Eastbrook would cut in to the Wabash lead in the third, winning the quarter 11-6 as the Apaches led 30-27 with a quarter to go. The Lady Apaches would regroup in the fourth to out score Eastbrook 15-12 on their way to the 45-39 final.
Wabash shot 41% from the field and 69% from the free throw line and had 7 offensive rebounds.
