In National League action Tuesday the Cubs defeated the A’s 13-2 and the Yankees squeaked by the Blackhawks 10-9.
In game one for the Cubs Jasper Walter had three hits and three rbi’s. Nathan Lehner and Joe leland had three hits and two rbi’s. Jarren Craft had one hit and one rbi.
For the A’s Andrew Dillon had two hits.
Game two was a nail biter as the score was tied in the fifth when a Clayton Tomlinson home run gave the Yankees the lead, with Mason Yentes answering with a home run in the top of the sixth gave the Blackhawks a 9-8 lead. The Yankees would come back in the bottom of the inning with a lead off triple from Jared Brooks to score two runs for the 10-9 win.
The third home run of the game came in the first inning when Grant Dale hit a line drive to right center, rounding the bases for an inside the park homer.
