Thursday nights games in the National League decided who the final four in the tournament would be as two losers bracket games were played.
In game one the Giants defeated the Blackhawks 8-4, while game two saw the Braves defeat the Red Sox 7-5. With the losses the Blackhawks and the Red Sox are eliminated from the tourney.
In game one for the Giants Tristen Hayslett was 2 for 2 with an inside the park home run. Logan Barley was 2 for 3 with a home run, 2 rbi’s and was the winning pitcher with 10 strike outs. Logan Cox was 2 for 2 including hitting a three run home run in the first. Morgan Lloyd was 2 for 3 with 1 rbi. Jaden Lake had an rbi.
For the Blackhawks Braylen Yeakle was 1 for 2 and scored 2 runs. Mason Yentes was 3 for 3 with 2 triples and a double.
In game two for the Braves Connor Rich had a triple and a single. Joey Bland added a single. Kolton Floor had a single, Grant Warmouth a ground rule double and a single. Justin Nelson added a double.
For the Red Sox Aiden Gohring had 3 singles. Adison Isley, Cole Winer, Kolton Learned and Will Winer added singles.
Friday night will kick off at 6:00 with a winners bracket game as the two division champions, Cubs and Yankees collide. Game two at 8:00 will be the Giants and Braves battling with the loser being eliminated and the winner taking on the loser of game one at 4:00 Saturday. Game two Saturday will be at 6:00 and if necessary one more game will be played at 6:00 Monday.
