Rage Lose Opener

The Metro Rage High School Club Soccer Team traveled to Muncie, IN on Saturday, August 15, 2015 to play the East Central Strikers.

The Strikers opened the scoring early in the game with goals at the four and six minute marks. The Rage eventually regained their composure and played the Strikers even for the rest of the half. Unfortunately the Strikers would put two more in the back of the net at 69 and 74 minute marks to make it a 4-0 final score.

Rage Coach Jeff Hobson felt that the score was really indicative of the game. “I felt like we controlled the last 25 minutes of the first half. We had seven legitimate scoring opportunities and came away with nothing. The second half was played pretty evenly but East Central capitalized on their scoring opportunities and we didn’t. You should come away with some goals when you have 18 shots.”

Junior Goalkeeper Tanner Proffitt (SHS) had four saves in goal for the Rage who are 0-1-0 on the season. The Rage return to action on Tuesday, August 18th at 5:30pm at the Morrett Sports complex when they host the Manchester Squires JV team.
