The Manchester Squires tennis team bounced back from a tough opening night loss with a 4-1 victory at Maconaquah on Thursday night. In an exciting night of tennis action, three Squire victors were trailing late in the first set before turning the contest around and winning soundly. Seniors Max Karg (1 Singles) and Noah Cain/Matthew Pegg (1 Doubles) continued their nice opening week by winning in straight sets and moved their records to 2-0. However, Thursday night belonged to the young and upcoming Squires. Trailing 3-0 and 5-3 in the first set, Heath Dierks and Parker Wagoner rallied from behind and play outstanding, consistent team tennis to win in straight sets. Not to be outdone, freshman Luke Donathan played in the match of the night in a marathon two set contest rallying from down early and holding on for a close victory. Parker Wagoner and Luke Donathan won their first matches as Squires netters. Manchester will host Churubusco on Monday at 5:00pm
