Squire JH Volleyball Sweeps Indian Springs

The Manchester 7th grade volleyball team moved to 2-0 on the season with a 21-25, 25-18, 15-13 win against the visiting Indian Springs Eagles. The team was led by Ali Sites who had 10 points on 4 aces and 1 assist. Karen Jimenez added 8 points on 1 ace, 1 assist and 1 dig.  Zoey Ream had 7 points on 3 aces, 1 kill and 3 digs. Eva Bazzoni led the team in kills with 3, and also had 2 points and 1 dig. Aubree Lambert had 2 points on 1 ace and 1 kill, and Morgan Parrett had 2 points on 1 ace.

The 8th grade volleyball team improved to 2 – 0 by defeating Indian Springs Eagles 25-15, 25-19. Lydia Greer had 9 service points with 3 aces, Andrea Kahn had 8 service points with 5 aces and 2 kills, Ranissa Shambarger had 8 service points with 1 ace, 1 assist, and 3 digs, Mackenzie Day had 3 service points, 2 assists, and 2 digs, Bailey Mooney had 3 service points and 1 dig. Kyrsten Eakright had 3 kills.

 

The Lady Squires also won the B match 15-14. Hailey Hall served 4 aces and Kaitlin Easterday served 2 aces. Rebekah Pyle served and ace and added several key defensive plays.

 

The 7th and 8th grade teams are back in action on Wednesday, September 9 when they host Whitko. The 7th grade match will begin at 4:30 p.m.
