Wabash JH Volleyball Tops Logansport

The Wabash Middle School 7th & 8th Grade Volleyball Teams traveled to Logansport on Thursday and came away with a pair of victories against Columbia MS to improve their records to 1-1.

The Lady Apache 7th Grade Volleyball Team defeated Columbia’s 7th Grade in a 2 game match with scores of 25-14 and 25-23.
For the Wabash 7th Grade Volleyball Team:
Nici Gunderman led her team with 18 Service Points, including 6 Aces, 3 Service Receptions, 2 Digs, and 2 Kills.
Brooke Bowling added 4 service Points, 2 Assists, a Kill, 2 Service Receptions, and 2 Digs.
Kyndal Fields had 2 Service Points, an Assist, 2 Service Receptions, and 3 Digs.
Olivia Lindsay contributed 2 Service Points, and 3 Assists.
Alivia Short had an Ace, a Block, 4 Kills, 2 Service Receptions and 2 Digs.
Kylie Ray added 2 Service Points.
Taliyah Hunt had an Ace, 2 Service Receptions, and 3 Digs.
Isabelle Davis had an Ace, 2 Service Receptions and a Dig.
Jordan Stumbo added a Service Point.
The Wabash 8th Grade Team dropped the 1st game of their 3 set match, losing 12-25. After a slow start in the 2nd game the Lady Apaches picked up momentum in an exciting come from behind victory, winning over Columbia 25-23. The closely fought 3rd game went the Apaches way, with a score of 15-12 to take the match.
For the Wabash 8th Grade Volleyball Team:
Carmen Higdon led her team with 15 service Points, including 5 Aces, 10 Kills and a Block.
Sydnee Osborn added 8 Service Points, including 2 Aces, 3 Assists, 6 digs, and 2 Kills.
Lexi Westendorf had 6 Service Points, including 2 Aces, 6 Assists and 2 Digs.
Hailey Dean contributed 7 Service Points, including 2 Aces.
Taylor Johnson had 6 Digs.
Makayla Lamb added a Kill and a Block.
