Southwood JH Volleyball Splits With Crestview

The Southwood 7th grade volleyball team hosted Huntington Crestview on Wednesday and fell in a hard fought match in 3 games. After pulling out a close one in the first, winning 25-24, the Knights proceeded to lose the second game 25-11. After Huntington forced a game three, Southwood fell 15-11 in the final game. Stats for the night included:

Maggie Ball had two service points, 7 assists, and 1 dig; Isabel Davis contributed 3 kills and 2 digs; Natalie Haycraft had four service points with 3 aces, 6 kills, and 3 digs; Erin McGouldrick had one service point for an ace; Kandon Pries had 10 service points, 3 aces, and one kill; Mariah Wyatt contributed 4 service points with 2 aces, 4 kills, 3 blocks, and 1 dig.

 

The Southwood 8th Grade Volleyball team hosted Huntington Crestview on Wednesday, September 16. The VolleyKnights were victorious over the Cougars 25-19, 25-24.

On the night, Freedom DeWitt had 2 service points, 2 aces; Madison Johnson had 6 service points, 3 aces; Erin Lehner had 4 service points, 2 aces, 11 digs, 1 kill; Kayla Mays had 5 service points, 2 aces, 7 digs, 2 kills; MaKenna Pace had 9 service points, 2 aces, 5 assists; and MaKenna Proffitt had 5 service points, 1 aace, 4 kills, 11 digs.

The Southwood 8th Grade is currently 3-0 on the season.

They will return to action tomorrow, Thursday, September 17th at 5:30 when they travel to Peru with a match-up with the Tigers.
