Lady Squires Take A Shot At Rochester

The Manchester volleyball team had the challenge of taking on 2A, #9 Rochester Monday, making the night much closer than the end result in a 25-27, 19-25, 18-25 loss to the Zebras.

Serving was led by Auler with 3 aces, Casper had 2, and Eichenauer got 1.  In hitting, Binkley led the team with 10 kills, Carter put away 6, McKee had 3, Day managed 2, and both Casper & Eichenauer had 1 kill.  We got several hands on balls tonight, A. Osborne led with a block assist and a solo block.  Auler had our other solo block and then the following group had block assists: Day, McKee, and Binkley. Assists were led by Auler with 14 and A. Osborne contributed 1 as well.  Digs were headed up by Carter with 15 followed Casper with 9.  Wagoner picked up 8, Auler grabbed 6, West & Eichenauer each had 5, Binkley at 4, Day 3, and A. Osborne wrapping it up with 2.


The junior varsity defeated Rochester 25-24 & 25-15.

For JV, serving was led by Fields with 4 aces, Wampler had 3, and both Rosen & West had 2. Attacks were led by Wampler with 2 kills and then following group had a single kills: Rosen, Lauer, & Casper. Assists were led by Casper with 2 while Wampler put up 1. Wampler had the only solo block for the JV Squires while Rosen & Auler shared in a block assist. Digs were close with West, Wagoner, and Wampler all at 4.  Casper and Rosen each got up 3 while Fields & Lauer managed a single dig for the night.
