Alex Farr connected on 4 of 6 attempts for 66 yards, and a touchdown to Mason Yentes, while directing the Knights to a 36-0 win over Wabash. The squad rolled up 252 yards on the ground. Tristan Hayslett showed his speed scoring on 65 and 28 yard runs, Mason Yentes scored on a 40 yard, and Connor Rich found 7 yards up the middle for a score.
On defense and special teams the Knights forced a fumble and recovered a couple of loose balls. Elijah Sutton and Carson Rich both recovered balls on kick-offs, while Dawson Filip stripped the ball from an opponent during a tackle. Carson Rich was in on 8 tackles to lead the defensive effort.
The Southwood Eighth Grade won 44-16 over the Apaches. The Knights moved the ball well early jumping out to a 22 point lead, but the Apaches responded with 16 points in the middle of the game. The Knights then took control to finish the scoring. Jackson Simons connected 7 of 11 passes for 231 yards, 3 touchdowns, and an interception. Gabe Lloyd carried the ball for 41 yards (1TD), Jackson Simons 30 (1 TD) and Kyler Chapman 4. Gabe Lloyd led the offense with 193 yards receiving. Ty Roser had a 30 yard catch, Carson Heath a 5 yard, and Braden Barney 3 yard PAT catch.
The defense ruled most of the evening, led by Luke Kirkâs 7 tackles, and Kyler Chapmanâs interception for a touchdown. The defensive crew also had 3 tackles for loss and 4 passes broken up.
Kallen Kelshimer ran the ball well for Wabash and James Booth returned an interception for 6 points.
