Manchester JH Volleyball Splits With Indian Springs

The Manchester 7th grade volleyball team improved their record to 5-1 with a 25-7, 25-12 win against the Indian Springs Stars. The team was led by Eva Bazzoni who had 12 points and 3 aces. Karen Jimenez added 9 points, 2 aces, 1 kill and 2 assists. Ali Sites had 7 points, 4 aces and 7 assists. Morgan Parrett had 3 points, Zoey Ream had 2 points and Roma Kaur had 1 ace. Manchester’s offensive attack was led by Ream with 6 kills and Bazzoni with 4 kills.

The Manchester 8th grade volleyball team lost a hard fought match 21-25, 25-24, 15-9, at Indian Springs Stars on Thursday, September 24th. Ranissa Shambarger lead the way for the Lady Squires with 8 service points with 3 aces and 1 assist. Sarah Pegg added 8 service points with 1 ace, Mackenzie Day served 7 points with 1 ace, while adding 5 assists and 1 dig, Andrea Kahn contributed 5 service points with 3 aces, along with 1 kill, Bailey Mooney had 2 service points and 3 digs, Lydia Greer lead the offensive attack with 5 kills followed by Kyrsten Eakright with 4 kills and Rebecca Pyle with 1 kill. Gabbie Brewer had 3 assists and 1 kill. Greer also had 1 dig.

The 8th grade volleyball record now stands at 4 – 2.

The Junior High Lady Squires are back in action on Saturday at the Southwood Tourney. 7th grade begins pool play at 9:00 a.m.
