Manchester/Southwood JH Volleyball Splits

The Manchester and Southwood junior high volleyball teams did battle Monday at Manchester with the Squires winning the 7th grade match and the Knights the 8th.

Manchester won the 7th grade contest 25-17, 25-12.

Manchester was led in scoring by Morgan Parrett who had 11 service points.  Zoey Ream added 8 points on 2 aces, Eva Bazzoni had 7 points on 2 aces, Aubree Lambert contributed 5 points on 2 aces, and Ali Sites had 3 points.  Offensively, Ream had 5 kills and Bazzoni added 2 kills, while Sites had 4 assists and Karen Jimenez had 2 assists.  Bazzoni led the team defensively with 4 digs, Sites added 3 digs, Parrett & Ream had 2 digs each, and Lambert had 1 dig.

For Southwood Maggie Ball had 1 service point, 3 assists, 1 kill, and 6 digs; Isabel Davis had 2 digs; Natalie Haycraft had 2 kills, 1 assist, and 3 digs; Erin McGouldrick had 9 service points, 3 aces, and 2 digs; Kandon Pries had 2 service points, and 3 digs; Shantel Crabtree had 1 ace, 1 kill, and 2 digs; Mariah Wyatt had 3 kills, 1 block, and 2 digs.

Southwood won the 8th grade match 20-25, 25-18, 15-11

At this point for Manchester the 8th grade stats is all we have and wanted to make sure we got them on so Lydia Greer could read them!! Gotcha Lydia!!!!

The Manchester 8th grade volleyball team fell to visiting Southwood 25-20, 18-25, 11-15. Leading the way for the Lady Squires were Sarah Pegg, with 6 service points with 1 ace and 2 digs, Bailey Mooney added 6 service points and 2 digs, Mackenzie Day tallied 5 service points with 2 aces, 6 assists and 1 dig, Lydia Greer served up 5 points, had 2 kills, and had a season high 13 digs. Ranissa Shambarger had 3 service points with 1 ace and 2 assists, Andrea Kahn served for 3 points, had 2 kills, and 8 digs. Kyrsten Eakright delivered 5 kills and 1 block. Rebekah Pyle had 1 kill, 1 block and 1 dig. Gabbie Brewer added 1 assist.

On the night for Southwood Madison Johnson had 1 service point, 1 kill, 8 digs; Erin Lehner had 1 service point, 1 ace, 1 kill, 1 dig; Kayla Mays had 6 service points, 4 aces, 2 kills, 5 digs; MaKenna Pace had 12 service points, 7 aces, 2 kills, 5 assists; Kirsten Pecsenye had 2 kills, 1 dig; MaKenna Proffitt had 5 service points, 3 aces, 5 kills, 3 blocks, 1 dig; and Allison Steele had 8 service points, 4 aces, 1 kill, 1 assist, 1 dig.
