A strong second half propelled the Southwood boys basketball team to a 69-55 win over Mississinewa Tuesday.
The score was tied after the first stop with the Knights leading 33-30 at the half before out scoring the Indians 36-25 in the second half for the 69-55 win.

The JV Knights won a one point thriller, 40-39 over Mississinewa to run their record to 7 and 2. The Indians dominated the first half and took an 11 point lead in to half. The Knights were down 6 going into the 4th Quarter. Southwood’s defense allowed only 2 points in the 4th quarter. Paul Farlow made a lay-up off of an Ethan Roberts assist with less than 15 seconds to go in the game to take the lead. Dallas Holmes then stole the ball from Mississinewa with 7 seconds to go. Ethan Roberts missed a lay-up allowing the Indians to get the ball and call a time-out with 1 second. The Knights then foiled the in bounds play and the clock ran out before the Indians could muster a shot.
