Lady Knights Suffer Road Loss At Whitko

TheSouthwood Lady Knights traveled to Whitko for a Three Rivers Conference game on Saturday night. Whitko, ranked 5th in the Class 2 A Sagarin Rankings, proved to be too talented for the game Knights as Whitko defeated Southwood 54-32.

The Lady Knights shot the ball better as they made 13-38 from the field (2-17 from 3 point area) but where unable to get to the free throw line frequently as they were 4-6. Conversely, Whitko was 22-52 from the field (1-12 from 3) and were 9-14 from the free throw line..

Brooke Elliott led the Knights in scoring with 14 points and grabbed a team leading 6 rebounds. Kassidy Atwood added 6 points, 5 rebounds and blocked 4 shots. Ashley Parson chipped in with 5 points, Makenna Dawes added 4 points, Taylor Heath scored 2 points and added a team high 3 assists and Morgan Farr had 1 point. Ellie White, Dawes and Parson all grabbed 3 rebounds.
