Lady Squire JH At Indian Springs

Manchester 7th Grade Results from the Indian Springs Tournament on Saturday, January 16

7th Grade Lady Squires placed 3rd overall

Game 1:  Manchester 7th Grade 19  –  Edgewood Middle School 24

Eva Bazzoni:  10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals

Zoey Ream:  4 points, 8 rebounds

Morgan Parrett and Ali Sites each had 2 points

We put 3 good quarters together in this game.  We stumbled a bit in the 3rd quarter but fought back to make a game of it in the 4th quarter.  We just could not get some shots to fall.

Game 2:  Manchester 7th Grade  45  –  Tippecanoe Valley 15

Eva Bazzoni:  16 points, 4 rebounds

Morgan Parrett:  8 points, 2 rebounds

Zoey Ream:  7 points, 12 rebounds, 7 steals

Ali Sites:  6 points

Beletu Stout:  4 points, 3 rebounds
Anna Markham:  3 points, 3 steals
Torina Runkel:  1 point, 3 steals

We had 7 girls score which is the most in a game this year.  Our defensive pressure was excellent as we made it tough for Valley’s ball-handlers.  It was a good Team effort to finish off the day.

Quote: It was a tough day for the Lady Squires, but the girls played extremely hard. Edgewood is a great team and they beat us pretty bad nine days ago. Our ladies hung in there and competed all four quarters. As for Tippecanoe Valley game, the Vikings did a great job of getting to the foul line and making 14-18 in the game. The Valley game will give us a lot of things to look at and learn from. We will be ready for our three league games this week.
