Big First Half Lifts Apaches Past North Miami

The Wabash boys basketball team jumped on North Miami early before earning their second win of the season Friday in a 69-53 win over the Warriors.

The Apaches had a great first half, out scoring North Miami 16-3 in the first quarter and 18-9 in the second to lead 34-12 at the half.

The Warriors, behind 30 second half points from Trevor Linn would make a run at the Apaches in the third, winning the quarter 17-11 to cut the Wabash lead to 45-29 with a quarter to go before a track meet broke out in the fourth with each team scoring 24 points in the Apaches 69-53 win.

The Wabash junior varsity defeated North Miami 38-27.

Leading Wabash was Blake Gribben with 14 points. Brandon Easterday added 9, Christian Simpson 6, Matt Stein 3, Austin Black 2, Austin Wieland 2, Cal Stone 2.
