Apaches Fall On Tip In

The Wabash boys basketball team lost a heart breaker on the road at Bluffton Tuesday, falling on a tip in with 3.3 seconds remaining 40-39.

The Apaches led 8-7 after the first stop and 16-14 at the half. Wabash then won the third quarter 15-14 to lead 31-28 to set up the exciting fourth. Wabash was leading 36-33 when the Tigers tied the game with a three before Owen Yeadon got the lead back with a free throw. With 40 seconds remaining Bluffton would take a 38-37 lead when Treavor Floor scored on a layup for a 39-38 lead. The heart breaker would come with 3.3 seconds left when the Tigers scored on a tip in with the Apaches not being able to get off a shot in the 40-39 loss.
