County Garners Four Sectional Wrestling Champions

All four county schools participated in the Peru wrestling sectional Saturday with numerous individuals moving on to next weeks regional.

Team wise, Manchester finished 3rd, Northfield 4th, Wabash 7th, Southwood 8th.

The county had 4 sectional champions.  Wabash’s Skyler Hall won at 138lbs, Northfield’s Michael Ford at 160lbs, Manchester’s Quentin Moore at 170lbs and Northfield’s Jake Stephan at 285lbs.

 

A wrestler had to finish in the top 4 to move on to the regional. Listed below are wrestlers moving on and where they placed in the sectional.

At 106lbs, Southwood’s Seth Teague finished 3rd

At 120lbs Manchester’s Jackson Mathais finished 4th

At 126lbs Northfield’s Logan Carey was 3rd, Manchester’s Braden Fortner 4th

At 132lbs Northfield’s Drew Clark was 2nd, Manchester’s Trey Addair 4th

At 138lbs Wabash’s Skyler Hall was the champion, Northfield’s Matthew Carey 2nd, Manchester’s Remington Trick 3rd

At 145lbs Manchester’s Delton Moore was 2nd

At 152lbs Northfield’s Layne Evans was 2nd, Manchester’s Collin Meggison 3rd, Southwood’s Asher Teague 4th

At 160lbs Northfield’s Michael Ford was the champion, Manchester’s Wade France 2nd, Wabash’s Derek Wilcox 3rd

At 170lbs Manchester’s Quentin Moore was the champion, Wabash’s Noah Cressell 2nd

At 182lbs Northfield’s Drake Heitz was 2nd, Southwood’s Chris Adams 3rd

At 220lbs Manchester’s Landon Tharp was 2nd

At 285lbs Northfield’s Jake Stephan was the champion, Wabash’s Dayon Waldron 3rd, Southwood’s Cavin Beavers 4th

 

The regional will be Saturday, February 6th at Peru
