The Wabash boys basketball team took the trip to Rochester Friday, falling 44-43 on a bucket with 6 seconds left in the game.
Wabash trailed 11-10 after the first stop and 22-15 at the half before making a comeback. The Apaches cut the deficit to 32-29 after three quarters before taking a 43-42 lead with 20 seconds left in the game. Rochester hit with 6 seconds left with the Apaches not being able to answer in the loss.
Austin Vinopal led the Apaches with 9 points. Luke Mattern added 7, Taylor Vigar 7, Owen Yeadon 7, Treavor Floor 6, Kaleb Kelshiemer 5, Justin Beauchamp 2.
The Wabash junior varsity fell 61-59.
Matt Jones led with 19 points. Blake Gribben added 12, Devin Higdon 9, Matt Stein 9, Austin Wieland 6, Cal Stone 4.
