Manchester University cross country honored

NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – Manchester University’s 2015 men’s and women’s cross country squads were recognized by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association late last week.

MU was one of 151 men’s and 207 women’s programs in NCAA Division III to gain the team academic award. In order to be honored, a team must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.1 or better. Both Spartans’ squads had a 3.17 mark.

Three Black and Gold individual student-athletes met the protocol of having a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and finishing in the top 25 percent at their respective regional. Junior Connor Bresnahan (Portage, Mich.) was among a group of 268 men’s designees from 151 teams, and the junior women’s tandem ofMariah Jordan (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and Tiffany Harber (Columbia City, Ind.)were two of the 352 honorees from 207 teams. Jordan picked up her second such accolade from the USTFCCCA.
