Wabash Little League was finally back in action at the Field of Dreams Friday night after a few days of rain soaked fields. Tonights coaches pitch action we had the FOP Angels host the B and N Designs WhiteSox. The Angels came out strong in the first inning scoring 6 runs and putting the White sox in the hole, the White sox battled back scoring 4 runs in the second and holding the Angels. The Angels defense continues to improve with a solid performance from second baseman Addison Bakehorn, and had good team effort at the plate led by Clay Shepler and game ball winner Addison Bakehorn both going 2 for 2. The White Sox played a much stronger game against the Angels than they did a week ago, with the defensive combo of Kenyen Weeks and Ty Leming kept the game close early but the strong bats of the Angels prevailed. Final score Angels win 11-4.
The C/S Printing Cubs hosted the BC Construction Dodgers in the second game of the night. Highlights for the Dodgers were Brody Height going 3 for 3 at the plate and making one heck of a good throw from third base to record an out at firstbase. Zion McKnight also went 3 for 3 at the plate for the Dodgers. The Cubs started slow in the field but came alive at the plate. Highlights for the Cubs were a in the park homerun by speedy Carter Booth, Keaton Lane took home the game ball by catching a pop-up and turning two by catching a runner out of position after the pop-up. Also want to give a shout out to Xzavier Mackey, Larry Noland Jr, and Andi Conliff who stepped up and put the bat on the ball securing their first hits of the season. Final score Cubs win 16-8
