HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The Crossroads League has announced it baseball postseason awards for the 2016 spring season.
Rounding out the Foresters who received Honorable Mention accolades is junior Shea Beauchamp. The first baseman is a double threat, both at the plate and in the field.
To date, Beauchamp (Wabash, Ind., Wabash HS) ranks 4th in the league in hits per game (1.18) and total bases per game (1.80). He has recorded 46 hits, which includes nine doubles and five four-baggers, and 26 RBI. He carries a .343 batting average and .522 slugging percentage.
Defensively, the first sacker has tallied 259 chances and 230 putouts to rank 3rd among his league peers in chances per game (6.64) and putouts per game (5.90). He has committed just two errors in 39 outings for a fielding percentage of .992 and for his efforts was recognized as a member of the Gold Glove Team.
Freshman Adam Roser also earned a spot on the Gold Glove Team for his defensive prowess. The Northfield High School product (Roann native) boasts a .931 fielding percentage as the league’s top third baseman having committed just seven miscues on the year.
