The Manchester softball team clinched at least a share of the TRC crown Tuesday with a 10-0 thumping over Tippecanoe Valley.
The Lady Squires would jump on Valley early and often, scoring 2 runs in the first. With one out Katelyn Andritsch reached on a bunt single. With two outs Kiera Stacy drew a walk and was followed by a Mattie McKee single to score Andritsch. Sydney Day would then double home Stacy for a 2-0 lead.
Manchester would strike again in the third. With one out Stacy would single, followed by a McKee single. Day would then lift a shot over the left field fence for a three run home run and a 5-0 lead.
The Squires would put the game out of reach in the fourth. Emma West led off with a single and was followed by an Andritsch single. Cierra Carter then found the gap in center, driving home West and Andritsch with a two run single for a 7-0 lead. Stacy would then double to put runners on second and third before a McKee single drove home both runners to lead 9-0.
Manchester ended the game in the sixth. Stacy led off drawing a walk before McKee did the same. Day would then be hit by a pitch to load the bases before Brooklyn Howard singed home Stacy to end the night 10-0.
Manchester collected 16 hits in the game.
