The Manchester baseball team played host to LaVille in a double header Saturday, taking both games. The Squires won game one 2-0 before coming back to win game two 5-2.
In game one the Squires took the lead in the fourth when Trey McNall was hit by a pitch before Landon Tharp sacrificed Gable to second. Kane Gable then single home McNall to lead 1-0.
The Squires would score their second run in the sixth. With one out David McAtee drew a one out walk before stealing second. Hayes Sturtsman then singled home McAtee for the 2-0 score.
David McAtee had 2 hits. Kane Gable had 1 hit and 1 rbi. Hayes Sturtsman had 1 hit and 1 rbi. Kam Lester had a hit. Zach Hill got the complete game win on the mound.
In game two Manchester scored 2 of their runs in the second. Kam Lester drew a one out walk, followed by a Janzin Cripe single. Jeremiah Airgood and Mason Roberts then hit back to back singles to make it 2-0.
The Squires picked up 3 more runs in the fifth. McAtee led off with a triple that was followed by a Rylie Rickert walk and a Sturtsman single. With one out Lester would single and was followed by a Cripe single.
David McAtee had 3 hits. Janzin Cripe added 2 hits and 2 rbi’s. Jeremiah Airgood had 2 hits and 1 rbi. Mason Roberts had 2 hits. Hayes Sturtsman had 1 hit and 1 rbi. Kam Lester had 1 hit. Freshman Kaleb Fluke got the win on the mound
